According to the press release received yesterday - Sixty underprivileged
children will enjoy a complimentary week of day camp at the Zoo Atlanta
in July 2017. For the second summer in a row, Zoo Atlanta will offer
community access to its signature seasonal day camp opportunity with the
Safari Day Camp Scholarship Program presented by Atlanta Fulton County
Recreation Authority. As part of the program, 60 children ages 5 to 11
from Title I Schools in the City of Atlanta and Fulton County will enjoy
a week of Safari Day Camp at no cost.
Scholarship applications are due by 5:30 p.m. on June 26, 2017. Parents or
guardians interested in applying should submit an application via email
to education@zooatlanta.org, or via regular mail to Zoo Atlanta.
Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, and
awardees will be notified on June 28, 2017.
