Play the Animal Way:

Enrichment is a crucial aspect of superior animal care in accredited zoological institutions, and Zoo Atlanta has a robust enrichment program in place year-round to stimulate animals’ natural behaviors and adaptations while promoting their well-being. A fall favorite at the Zoo for more than a decade, Play the Animal Way is an opportunity for Zoo Members and guests to observe enrichment – which may take the form of objects, novel foods and opportunities, puzzles, paper mâché creations and more – in action throughout the Zoo with some of the year’s most colorful animal surprises.

The fun’s not limited to the non-humans; guests are invited to try enrichment of their own at stations around the Zoo. Highlights will include special Keeper Talks, animal training demonstrations, games and more.

Play the Animal Way is free with general admission; free for Zoo Atlanta Members and children under 3. Visit zooatlanta.org for a full schedule of animal enrichment times, or check the Zoo Atlanta map on arrival.
