This one is for the special men in our life. You know the Dad’s and Father figures in our lives. So we are calling all Fathers, Dads, Daddys, Pops, Papas, and Bonus Dads to join us in a celebration of Fatherhood and strengthening families one mile at a time. Fatherhood is such an important role and I want to encourage our community to enjoy and embrace every step of the way. I am inviting you to join our team with the I Am A Father 5K race on June 16th at the Porter Sanford Center in Decatur, Georgia. This race is near and dear to my heart because I have three very dear people waiting on kidneys and this race is all about celebrating Fatherhood, organ donation and complementary health testing for stokes, diabetes, heart attacks, obesity and more.
Our team name is Decatur & East Atlanta Macaroni Kid. We will rock this team out. Our team goal is 50 team members so please invite your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to join us. What -
The I Am A Father 5K Run/Walk is an annual event for the entire family, celebrating fathers. Held on the Saturday before Father’s Day, the signature event promotes health & wellness, organ donation and community bonding. It is more than race. It is a health fair as well with live entertainment, celebrity participation, and a fun-filled warm-up with Stepp Stewart, fitness expert from the Dr. Oz Show.
