We are celebrating the legacy of an Atlanta legend, the late but forever great Willie B., on Father’s Day on Sunday, June 18th. Willie B.’s legacy is especially powerful this year with the recent birth of his newest grandchild, a grandson named Willie B. III, in the 35th anniversary year of Willie B.’s first steps into The Ford African RainForest. The special Keeper Talks with the Gorilla Care Team, interactive educational activities, and more.
An icon of Zoo Atlanta’s transformation in the late 1980s and forefather of many of the Zoo’s most beloved gorillas, Willie B.’s legacy finds particular potency this year with the arrival of his newest grandchild, born to Shalia and Willie B.’s only son, Willie B., Jr., on April 24, and the 35th anniversary year of Willie B.’s first steps into The Ford African Rain Forest in 1988.

Activities will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are free for Zoo Atlanta Members; free with general admission.
