Giraffe feeding | Daily, weather permitting

Come face-to-face with Earth’s tallest mammals – feed a giraffe from Twiga Terrace.

Meet and feed Kelly or Tara with our African elephant behind-the-scenes experience. 


Aldabra tortoise Wild Encounters  |  Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 3:15 p.m.

Meet and feed one of the giants of Aldabra Atoll in an encounter with some of the planet’s

largest tortoises. 


Giant Panda Wild Encounters  |  Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays at 10:30 a.m.

Explore the fascination of these treasured black-and-white bears with a behind-the-scenes educational program.


Goat Painting  |  Saturdays at 3:15 p.m. 

Join the Animal Care Team and a special “VanGoat” artist for a goat painting enrichment session and a chance to take home a one-of-a-kind artwork following a memorable experience. 


Lemur Wild Encounters  |   Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 11 a.m.

Meet and feed one of the icons of Madagascar with an up-close visit with these dynamic

social primates. 


Warthog Wild Encounters  |  Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays at 1 p.m.

Go behind the scenes to meet and feed some of the African Savanna’s most charismatic creatures, and learn more about the care of warthogs and their neighbors. 


Boo at the Zoo presented by Georgia Natural Gas   |  October 28th and 29th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Atlanta’s favorite fun family Halloween festival returns for two more magical days of themed entertainment; meet-and-greets with costume characters; trick-or-treating; and much more. Free with general admission.

A nighttime wonderland awaits at one of Atlanta’s newest holiday light traditions, featuring more than 200 lanterns in a stunning contemplation of the wonders of nature. Tickets are available now on zooatlanta.org.
