Celebrate Little Critters Day This Saturday at Fernbank Museum!

What a great way to kick off Earth Day and Fernbank is helping to kick it early.

We have Little Critters Day coming this Saturday to the Fernbank. What a great way to kick off Earth Day. Earth Day is on Monday, April 22nd and Fernbank is helping to kick it early. 

They will start the day with these activities from 10 am to 1 pm. After their presentations please take the rest of the day to see their film Spiders- From Fear to Fascination and explore one ot all seven of their outdoor experience

Papayago Rescue House will be in the Great Hall on the lower level. This is where you meet some feathered friends from Papayago Rescue House. Learn about this exotic bird shelter and how they provide rescue, rehabilitation, retraining, and rehoming services. 

PAWS Atlanta will be in the Great Hall on the lower level. This is where you can play with paws-itively adorable pups from PAWS Atlanta! Please check this out. You may find your FOREVER FRIEND and take a pup to their FOREVER HOME. 

Cricket’s Mobile Petting Zoo will be located on the Terrace just past the Stegosaurus Statue on the lower level.  Come and discover the surprise guest of friendly farm animals.  

AWARE Wildlife Center on the lower level of the Great Hall. You are invited to learn all about animals native to Georgia with AWARE Wildlife Center.

Experience Live Animal Encounters specifically at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. in the Frances Wood Wilson Foundation Theater. Here is where you will meet an amphibian and a reptile from Fernbank’s animal collection

Not that that is enough, there is more added fun.  Yes, there will be Animal Paper Plates in the Great Hall on the lower level where you can create your farm animal out of paper plates, stickers, and more at this craft station.  As well as a Turtle Toss on the Terrace of the lower level, weather permitting. 

Fernbank is a nonprofit natural history museum, giant screen theater, and old-growth forest, and is not affiliated with Fernbank Science Center, which operates as a division of DeKalb County Schools.
