Non-Members: On Sunday, May 11th, mothers receive free admission with the purchase of a full-price adult or child ticket. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time or at the front gate upon arrival. While advance purchases are recommended for a smoother experience, they are not required.

Festive Step & Repeat: Stop by the Mother’s Day-themed backdrop near the Zoo Atlanta Explorer Store from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and snap the perfect family picture.
Professional Photography: Visit the stunning set piece near SweetWater Beer Garden, where Ames Studios will offer complimentary family photos from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Digital downloads will be available for free starting Friday, May 16, 2025 in an online gallery.
Mother’s Day Crafts: Kids can make homemade cards or design a one-of-a-kind button at our craft station from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Color Me Mural: Add your artistic flair to our large, Zoo-themed coloring mural and make it extra vibrant from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mother’s Day Exploration Adventure
Take part in a self-guided scavenger hunt and discover the incredible Zoo Atlanta moms along the way! Begin your adventure at Flamingo Plaza and follow the clues through the Zoo to learn more about our animal mothers. Open to all guests and Members from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Animal Encounters: Get up close with fascinating zoo residents through keeper talks and feeding sessions—check the daily schedule for details.
Picnic Areas: Enjoy a meal in designated picnic spaces. You can order onsite at Nourish Café and even skip the line using mobile ordering!
Playground Fun: Kids can enjoy the KIDZone or the Naked Mole Rat, while Mom takes a well-deserved break.
Gift Shop Treasures: Browse a diverse selection of souvenirs, toys, apparel, and home goods at the newly remodeled Explorer Store. Online shopping is also available for convenience.
